Description
Zeiss LSM 980 with Airyscan 2
The Zeiss LSM 980 equipped with Airyscan 2 is a high performance laser scanning confocal microscope designed for advanced fluorescence imaging with enhanced sensitivity and super resolution capability. The system combines classical confocal imaging with Airyscan detection, enabling improved signal to noise ratio, increased sensitivity and lateral resolution down to approximately 120 nm.
It supports live cell imaging with environmental control for in vivo experiments and incorporates Zeiss Definite Focus technology to maintain focal stability during long term time lapse acquisitions.
The microscope is configured with four laser lines covering blue, green, red and infrared excitation ranges, allowing flexible multicolor imaging.
Detection is performed through two PMT detectors, one GaAsP high sensitivity detector and the Airyscan 2 detector module.
The system is mounted on an Axio Observer inverted stand and includes an Axiocam 308 camera for widefield imaging and sample finding.
This configuration makes the system suitable for high resolution imaging, live cell imaging, FRET and FRAP analysis, multichannel acquisitions and advanced quantitative fluorescence studies.
