Description
The Leica TCS SP8 X is a white light laser (WLL) confocal microscope system designed for advanced fluorescence imaging, including live-cell imaging and spectral unmixing. This configuration features the Leica SP8X confocal scan head, a motorized DMI8 inverted microscope with Adaptive Focus Control (AFC), and an NKT EXTREME Super-Continuum Laser that delivers excitation from 470 to 670 nm, tunable in 1 nm steps.
Paired with a 405 nm diode laser, three PMTs, and one hybrid HyD detector, this system is optimized for flexible multi-wavelength imaging, high-speed optical sectioning, and advanced quantitative analysis.
With HyVolution, deconvolution is fully handled by Huygens and can be applied to TCS SP8 confocal images directly after or even during the acquisition stage.
The system is also equipped with an Okolab Stage Top Chamber for live-cell imaging, with temperature and CO2 control.
