The Leica AF6000 LX is an integrated system for advanced widefield fluorescence imaging and analysis. The highly integrated workstation enables researchers to study the processes of life. Stable for long term experiments, it keeps the cells alive and healthy.
The system is equipped with a Hamamatsu 9100-02 (EM CCD) camera: pixel size is 8 µm in a 1000 by 1000 CCD chip. This camera is fast, has a good sensitivity and allows high resolution due to the small pixel size.
Filters available on the system are: A4 (UV-filter), BGR (blue-green-red triple filter), L5 (FITC,GFP) and N3 (Rodamin).
Objectives are the following: 5x (dry), 10x (dry), 20x (dry), 40x (dry), 63x (glycerine immersion, corrected to work at 37°C) and 100x (oil immersion).
The microscope stand sits in a thermo-box where the temperature can be regulated from 22°C to 37°C. Humidification and CO2 are equally available.
On the other hand, the system is equipped with a Gilson's MINIPULS® 3 peristaltic pump with 4 channels: standard flow rates, 0.3 µL/min to 30 mL/min at a maximum pressure of 0.5 MPa; high flow rates, 1 mL/min to 220 mL/min at a maximum pressure of 0.3 MPa.
